Paradise Lake


Paradise Lake is a 204-acre lake with sparkly blue waters surrounded by beautiful green trees. The lake provides a unique opportunity for visitors and residents to enjoy kayaking, fishing, hiking, biking and more. Enjoy a picnic and take in the views, let the kiddos run around on the play structure and take advantage of all the educational/recreational programs and events throughout the year hosted by the
Paradise Recreation and Parks District.

Parks


The Ridge is currently home to five parks, with five others coming soon. Each park offers something unique to enjoy including horseback riding, disc golf, BBQ/Picnic Areas and trails to explore. You are sure to create lasting memories with family and friends, including the furry ones, while exploring any of the parks on The Ridge.


One of the most exciting developments is Lakeridge Park which will be located in Magalia. The Park will feature a new recreation center, grass play field, outdoor sport court, adventure playground, two traditional playgrounds, a swing complex, hiking/walking/biking paths, botanical garden, amphitheater and interactive water fountain. Lake Ridge Park is set to open in Spring 2026.


Yellowstone Kelly Heritage Trail


The
Yellowstone Kelly Heritage Trail  (formerly the Paradise Memorial Trailway) is a former railroad bed that has been converted to a path. The Trail runs parallel to Skyway for much of its length and features over 30 plaques commemorating Paradise history and pioneers, particularly near Paradise Community Park.


Disc Golf


South Pines Disc Golf, a project of Magalia Community Park, is an 18-hole course on 40 Acres, and 70 different basket locations (switched every week). The park is Open 7 days a week from dawn until dusk and host events and tournaments. Cost to play is $5 green fee per player/per round or $12 all day pass, Izzy's Bar & Grill and the Community Center are located on hole 18.



Kayaking


Kayaking is a great way to get exercise and enjoy being out on the water. If you do not own a kayak, no problem, rentals are available at Boat Launch #2 on Paradise Lake. The Paradise Parks and Recreation Department even offers
classes and tours for all skill levels. For an extra special treat and to meet others in the community, join in on one of their Community Paddle Days.


Paradise Park and Recreation District Activity Guide


The Paradise Park and Recreation District (PRPD) makes it fun and easy to enjoy nature and wellness on the Ridge. PRPD hosts a number of activities and events throughout the year for children and adults.  Be sure to check out their
website and activity guide to see what exciting activities they have planned.


Biking


There are biking trails both on The Ridge and in neighboring cities. Paradise Lake and the Yellowstone Kelly Heritage Trail are both great options via bike. They are excellent during any time of year and can be enjoyed by all skill levels.
