There are a number of steps that residents can take to help reduce their insurance costs including creating Firewise USA “Communities” or neighborhoods, as well as “California Fair Plan Approved” fire hardening measures that can provide up to 14.5% in available discounts.
The Butte County Fire Safe Council and the California Department of Insurance have several tools available on their respective websites to assist in finding the right coverage or help finding an agent.
Water
The water clarity in Paradise and Magalia is 10x the state standard! It's all thanks to the wonderful companies serving our neighborhoods.
In Paradise, the Paradise Irrigation District keeps a close eye on the area through their Quality Assurance Monitoring Program.
Del Oro Water is the company that services Magalia. They are committed to providing safe and dependable water to the area and have been for many years.
Waste Management
Waste management on The Ridge may look a little different than you're used to, as the area runs on a septic system. There are a number of companies in town with expert knowledge and experience maintaining septic systems, and the Town of Paradise has created a Septic System Manual.
Trash services are provided by Northern Recycling and Waste.
