Art in Paradise: Culture and Creativity on the Paradise Ridge
Art
Paradise is a lot more colorful than your average small town, with many incredible
murals and public artworks to discover, created by local artists.
It's all thanks to the area's commitment to art and culture, with groups like the
Paradise Arts Alliance and the
Paradise Arts Theatre And Culture Hub (PATCH), supporting communication, education, economic development, and collaboration within the arts community.
Museums
The Ridge is home to some rich Gold Rush history, which can be viewed at the
Gold Nugget Museum and enjoyed at the annual
Gold Nugget Days
event.
For train lovers, the
Paradise Depot Museum is located in Paradise Community Park, and showcases the history of the Butte County Railroad and the logging industry on The Ridge - along with vintage train cars.
At the Stirling City Historical Society museum uncover the towns logging history and view railroad memorabilia and historical images.
Performing Arts
The intimate 100-seat Theatre on the Ridge is the longest-running community theatre north of Sacramento.
The 770-seat
Paradise Performing Arts Center, is home to the
Northern California Ballet,
Paradise Symphony Orchestra and many other main stage attractions.
