Paradise and Magalia are home to a number of natural attractions to enjoy and explore.

From fishing, to kayaking, to hiking & biking, there is something for everyone and even more on the way!

Paradise Lake

This 244-acre sparkling blue gem is surrounded by lush green trees.


The lake provides a great opportunity for visitors to enjoy kayaking, fishing, hiking, biking and more. If you time your visit right, you can also enjoy a number of classes and events hosted by the Paradise Recreation and Park District.


The 9 mile roundtrip trail is easy enough for all ages and skill levels.


The lake is open daily, except for Wednesday, from 5am to sunset. Parking is $3. Boating is $10. Kayak rentals are available at Boat Launch #2.


Enjoy a picnic, take in the views, let the kiddos run around on the play structure and have a fun day on the lake!

Lake Oroville

 The Lime Saddle area on Lake Oroville is located in Paradise and is another great option for enjoying the outdoors.


The area features a marina, boat ramp, trails, fishing and camp grounds.


Boat rentals, from house boats to fishing boats, gas and repairs are available at the marina making it easy to get out on the water.

Parks

In addition to more than three hundred and fifty acres of open space, the area is currently home to several parks, with more coming soon. Each park offers something unique to enjoy, including horseback riding, disc golf, BBQ/picnic areas, and trails to explore.


Bille Park is an excellent place for a picnic. If you follow the trail, you will be treated to an incredible view of the Butte Creek Canyon.


If your furry friend is with you, stop by the dog park at Moore Road Ball Park.


To try your hand at some Disc Golf, make your way to Magalia Community Park for an 18-hole course on 40 Acres, and 70 different basket locations that switch every week.

Hiking & Biking

Unplug and immerse yourself in natural beauty, everywhere you look.


The Yellowstone Kelly Heritage Trail (formerly the Paradise Memorial Trailway) is a great option for all. It runs the length of the Skyway and features 30 plaques commemorating Paradise history and pioneers.
